Its as if they don't (and they usually don't) listen to what anybody says on these matter. They get a group of people together and try to be "innovative". Innovate, but do it when your product actually is up to standards at least, do it when people like to use your product, do it when theres no need for a fix, no bugs, and for god sakes stop re-implimenting legacy code. Yeah we know its the same core code. The reason Safari and Firefox is going to beat you in the end is b/c of this. Has anybody ever tried to impliment a plugin for IE? yes, ok go write the same plugin on firefox and see how much less time it will take you. I work my ass off to get IE to look right when it renders... (it just works in FF and Safari more than likely b/c of standards compliance).. and then I load up IE8 and all hell broke loose.
